.
Those words "BEING OPEN" have been in my head all week.I have not been able to find any answers that I felt explained it well for me.So I will attempt to share what being open means to me..For most of us life just runs on automomatic. So what happens when a change occurs or you are asked to change something. It could be a simple as changing your routine or as complicated and changing your core beliefs.I have found that as I get older and learn more I need to be able to change my thoughts and feelings to try new things. Over the past 7 years there has been lots of changes .Some I fought hard against and dug my heels in ...excuses like I am too old to go back to school, I will not drive to Toronto, and the list could go on.I did go to school and drive to Toronto and have continued to learn and grow. The people I have met and learned from and the satisfaction from these things have more value for me than I can ever describe. So being open is saying yes more often than saying no. Openness has the ability to expand your view of life around you to see the bigger picture. We are all in this world together and struggle together .Openness can bring us together to suppoort each other despite the color of our skin, religious beliefs, or gender.

Well said, its not always easy to be open to things that are out of our comfort zone but true happiness can come from allowing yourself to be!
